Session Fees

My fee is $250 for a 50-minute individual session, due at the time of the appointment. I accept all major credit cards, and you can pay directly with an HSA or FSA card. If you have a PPO plan, your out-of-network benefits will likely cover a meaningful portion of that fee. I use a tool that checks your coverage instantly and can file claims on your behalf, so neither the verification nor the paperwork lands on you. Why I Work Outside of Insurance

This practice operates on a private pay basis, which means sessions are billed directly to you rather than to an insurance company.

That's a deliberate choice, and it has real consequences for the work we do together. When a therapist bills insurance, the insurer requires a psychiatric diagnosis to authorize treatment, that diagnosis becomes part of your permanent medical record, and the company retains the right to audit your records at any time. For professionals in fields where documentation can carry real consequences, that's not a small thing. Beyond the privacy issue, insurance-mandated care operates under limits insurers decide themselves, from how often we can meet to what's considered medically necessary to work on. Private pay gives us the latitude to do thorough, unhurried work without an adjuster deciding when you've had enough.

Using Your Out-of-Network Benefits

Most of my clients come in expecting the reimbursement side of things to be a hassle, and that's a fair assumption based on how most out-of-network providers handle it. This practice is set up to take as much of that administrative work off your plate as possible, from the initial question of what sessions will cost you to the monthly logistics of filing claims.

Check your coverage before you book

The benefits checker at the bottom of your screen lets you check your out-of-network mental health benefits instantly, without calling your insurance company. It returns your deductible, how much you've already met this year, your coinsurance rate, and an estimate of what a session with me would cost after reimbursement. The check runs against your actual insurance information rather than giving you a generic range, so you have a real number before you make any decisions.

How claims work once you're a client

Most of my clients don't handle any of the claims process themselves. After each session, I can file your out-of-network claim directly on your behalf. The claim goes to your insurance company electronically, which processes faster than a mailed superbill, and your reimbursement check comes directly to you. You don't have to track anything down, fill out forms, or spend time on hold with your insurer.

If you'd prefer to manage your own claims, the system also includes Reimbursify, a mobile app that makes filing straightforward. You take a photo of your monthly superbill, the app populates my provider information that's already on file, and the claim is submitted to your insurer in under a minute. You can track the status of every claim from the app as it moves through processing.

Either way, if anything gets held up on the insurance side, Reimbursify's team works with your insurer directly to resolve it.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining anticipated costs before we begin. I will provide this to you prior to our first session.
